Come back soon Vale!
Maranello, 5 June – “You will return stronger than ever.” That is the belief of Luca di Montezemolo, which he shares with everyone at Ferrari who, through ferrari.com, wish to send a message of best wishes and support to Valentino Rossi, who today was the victim of a bad fall during free practice for the MotoGP Italian GP, currently taking place at the Mugello circuit, which will presumably keep him out of racing action for some time. “Everyone at Ferrari is with you at this difficult time,” added Montezemolo. “We are sure that you will be back on track soon, even stronger than before. If during your convalescense you feel you would like to do some training on four wheels, then remember that the door to Maranello is always open to you.”
Domenicali: “Good luck, Vale!”
“Valentino and I have known one another for many years, so I cannot let this opportunity pass without wishing him the very best of luck as he embarks on this new adventure,” said Stefano Domenicali. “He faces a major challenge, both as a rider and as a person and it is right that he be allowed to concentrate on this, just as we are concentrating on what we have before us. We will be delighted to see him on track on 3 July, when he takes part in the Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, one of our circuits.”
At the end of a day where they were busy on the ski slopes, this afternoon the drivers of the Maranello team took part in a special meeting with the fans at the Miramonti Canal. Beneath an extraordinary fireworks display Felipe Massa, Fernando Alonso, Jules Bianchi, Giancarlo Fisichella and Marc Gené greeted about 4,000 fans, answering some of their questions.
Tomorrow features another intense programme that, at the end of the event, will see the men in red first taking part in the traditional ski race, then the challenge on the frozen lake. While the racers of two and four wheels battle it out at the wheel of go-karts and Fiat Pandas, the guest of honour at the eagerly anticipated event will be Luca Badoer. He is here to celebrate his 13-year career as the test driver for the Prancing Horse and he will bid farewell to the fans with an exhibition at the wheel of an F60 decked out in a special livery.
